January 21, 2019 - First time for Teaching Assistant
On January 21, 2019 I began implementing teaching assistant classes in Jade, Gold, and Acacia. The first activity starts at 07.00 - 07.20 a.m. namely the flag ceremony which includes the activities of singing national songs and USANT hymns then followed by the raising of the Philippine flag and ending with praying together. Then teaching assistant activities began in Jade class at 10:40 a.m. -11.40 a.m. and continued in the Gold class at 01.00 - 02.00 p.m. and the Acacia class at 02.00 - 03.00 p.m. Teaching assistant activities are by helping the cooperating teacher check the attendance of students, helping to record students' work assignments, and helping in writing material on the paper or helping to prepare the projector.
January 22, 2019 - 2nd Teaching Assistant
The teaching assistant activity was continued on January 22, 2019, which was by helping cooperating the ters to distribute midterm questions and helping the cooperating teacher oversee students. I oversee in the Garnet class because my cooperating teacher is a Garnet homeroom teacher. The midterm exam is taken in just one day for all subjects. Each subject was given 45 minutes to answer the questions provided. This is quite different considering that the midterm exam in Indonesia is conducted for one week and only 2 subjects are taken every day.
January 23, 2019 - Last day Teaching Assistant before Actual Teaching
On January 23, 2019 I returned to being a teaching assistant by helping the cooperating teacher in the class at 07.00 - 11.30 a.m. just teaching Garnet, Aquamarine, and Jade classes because in the afternoon my activities were studying Filipino dances, namely tiklos and cariosa dances. Besides learning to dance to traditional Filipino dances we also learned Thai dances and taught Indonesian dances namely maumere dance to Filipino students and Thai students.
