University of Saint Anthony
is a private, non-sectarian and non-profit educational institution in the Philippines. It was founded in 1947 by Dr. Santiago G. Ortega. USANT is located at Iriga City, Camarines Sur province, Philippines University Of Saint Anthony, which has grown into a big institution offering saveral relevant courses, traces its beginning as St. Anthony Academy for working students.

The University of Saint Anthony, a non-sectarian and non-profit educational institution under the aegis of the philosophy: PIETAS, INTEGRITAS, SAPIENTIA, was established on August 18, 1947. Originally named as St. Anthony Academy, it was founded by a group of professionals known as Rinconada Educators Association. It started as a night high school, housed in a rented building in barangay San Francisco, with an enrollment of 131 students and a teaching staff of 8 teachers. Most of the students were over-aged, having been delayed by the five-year war.

This special class has more facilities than other classes which provide free laptops from the school, air conditioning, and printer. Students entering the special class represent students who have ranking one until forty in parallel at the final exam in grade 7.


Teaching System
University of Saint Antony give the students the opportunity to develop their potentials for moral, social, spiritual, cultural and productive living in a democratic society that recognize the intrinsic worth and dignity of an individual. Propagation of knowledge at USANT starts with caring support and encouragement from teachers. USANT provides its students an environment that promotes meaningful learning and holistic character development.
Learning activities at the secondary high school take place for 5 days from Monday to Friday starting at 7:00 a.m. until 17:00 p.m., every day the learning activities begin with morning ceremony starting at 7:00 a.m. until 7:20 a.m. series of events begin with singing national songs, singing USANT songs, and praying together. Then for learning activities in the classroom starting at 7:20 a.m. Student breaks are twice, at 10:20 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Each student prays before and after the lesson is finished. Every day students get 8 material subjects ranging from mathematics, Science English, Filipino, Computer, Education Sa Pagpapakatao, Araling Panlipunan, MAPEH. each subject is taken within one hour. So that in a week students get 5 hours to study 1 material subject. Teacher in USANT gives all the things with full spirit and possible to fun learning for the students. USANT’s teacher also teach in a way students will more understand, they also have idea and creative in teaching-learning process. They have unique ways of handling all of class and not be the same for from to another class. although some would have extraculiculler or other activities at school on weekends like Marching Band.


Learning Source
All of teachers in USANT using Tagalog and English text book for main sources and sometimes the teacher use power point in MAR (Multimedia Room) to explaine about materials of the lesson, Student can use Internet to searching about materials. In Philippines, english is the second languege in this school. Therefore, mostly people in Philippines can say English clearly but sometimes some teachers also use tagalog language to help them explaining more complex materials. They also use games, pictures, videos and another teaching’s media that is still connected to the topic of that day, to get the students’s interest.


Evaluation System
an annual qualifying examination will be conducted and administered to first year, second year, third year and fourt year. student at the end of the school year every month of february to promote or qualify them for the next higher level with full loads. the test will cover the general and professional subjects taken in their first and second term. teachers handling the subjects will formulate the test. the test also intends to familiarize the students with the type of question given in the licensure examination.


Curriculum
The curriculum used by the University of Saint Anthony is K12 curriculum which has been pursued for 12 years. The description of the K12 program is six years of basic education, 4 years of junior high school, 2 years of senior high school.
basic education or elementary school takes time to compulsory education from grades 1 to 6 or six years. The main subjects include mathematics, science, English, the Philippines, and social sciences. Elective subjects include music, art, physical education, and health. Primary students traditionally attend the National Basic Achievement Test (NEAT) which is managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS). However, scores obtained by students at NEAT are not used as a basis for their acceptance in secondary high school.
Then for Junior High School education known as Sekararya Paaralang consists of 4 years. The core subjects are as follows:
• Year 1 - Philippines 1, Algebra 1, Integrated Science, English 1, Philippine History
• Year 2 - Filipino 2, Algebra 2, Biology, English 2, Asian History
• Year 3 - Filipino 3, Geometry, Chemistry, World History, Geography
• Year 4 - Filipino 4, Calculus, Trigonometry, Physics, Literature, Economics
Small choice subjects include Health, Music, Art, Physical Education, Home Economics and Technology. The selected school presents additional subjects
After that, to Senior High School or Vocational Education program can be taken within 2 years. In completion, students can take exams that are managed centrally to get a diploma or certificate.


TEACHING PLAN
Teachers always prepare lesson plans before teaching. The evaluation plan used by Maam Elijah is a short lesson plan or not detailed and personal that is used for self-reference teaching compilation will deliver material that contains what consists of lesson objectives, content of learning, learning, evaluation, learning and assignment of learning. And Ma'am Elijah has a complete record of the material to be delivered. The teacher must make lesson plans and media such as powerpoint slides, pictures and videos every time they want to teach
