The University of Saint Anthony (USANT) is a private, non-sectarian and non-profit educational institution in the Philippines. It was founded in 1947 by Dr. Santiago G. Ortega. USANT is located at Iriga City, Camarines Sur province, Philippines University Of Saint Anthony, which has grown into a big institution offering saveral relevant courses, traces its beginning as St. Anthony Academy for working students.
It was founded on August 8, 1947 to serve the educational needs of the Bicolanos. In 1963, the Academy becomes Saint Anthony College and on December 18, 1973 it was coverted to University of national development. The late Dr. Santiafo G. Ortega, Sr. Was installed as the first president of the University. The change of status brought about further addition of courses and programs.
The incumbent University President, Atty. Santiago D, Ortega, Jr. is deeply commited to strengthen the internal efficiency of the University’s cultural and economic subsystem in order to ensure delivery of productive educational service to students and the community.
