Curriculum System

The curriculum used by the University of Saint Anthony is K12 curriculum which has been pursued for 12 years. The description of the K12 program is six years of basic education, 4 years of junior high school, 2 years of senior high school.

basic education or elementary school takes time to compulsory education from grades 1 to 6 or six years. The main subjects include mathematics, science, English, the Philippines, and social sciences. Elective subjects include music, art, physical education, and health. Primary students traditionally attend the National Basic Achievement Test (NEAT) which is managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS). However, scores obtained by students at NEAT are not used as a basis for their acceptance in secondary high school.

Then for Junior High School education known as Sekararya Paaralang consists of 4 years. The core subjects are as follows:

• Year 1 - Philippines 1, Algebra 1, Integrated Science, English 1, Philippine History

• Year 2 - Filipino 2, Algebra 2, Biology, English 2, Asian History

• Year 3 - Filipino 3, Geometry, Chemistry, World History, Geography

• Year 4 - Filipino 4, Calculus, Trigonometry, Physics, Literature, Economics

Small choice subjects include Health, Music, Art, Physical Education, Home Economics and Technology. The selected school presents additional subjects

After that, to Senior High School or Vocational Education program can be taken within 2 years. In completion, students can take exams that are managed centrally to get a diploma or certificate.
